The Kouzina Family Story

Jimmy and Penny Christopher immigrated to Boston from Greece. They met and married in the US and went on to open multiple restaurants on the North Shore. Jimmy retired in 2012 and Penny decided to carry on the family business with her son Paul. They previously operated Brothers Kouzina on Rte 1 in Peabody. When they closed Brothers Kouzina, they shifted their focus to their other restaurants in Boston, Gyro City (in Fenway and Brighton). While they still love Gyro City, they longed to bring Kouzina back to their friends on the Northshore. Penny used her years of experience in the restaurant business along with her love for design in order to bring an authentic Greek grill to Peabody. Today, Penny and Paul operate Kouzina where they follow Jimmy’s recipes in order to provide the most authentic Greek food outside of Athens. All of the food is handmade and prepared freshly every day.

"Kouzina is a great restaurant. The food is good with good-sized portions. The service is good and the atmosphere has greek music playing along with a television displaying photos of different parts of Greece which is nice."
